Black Volleyball Circuit Makes a Place for Black Volleyball Players Worldwide

Things are about to change for young women of color who have love and passion for the game of volleyball but have never had the opportunity to showcase their talents to HBCU college coaches. The Black Volleyball Circuit is out to ensure African American volleyball players have their own lane in the world of volleyball.

The Black Volleyball Circuit was founded in 2020 by a team of former collegiate athletes and volleyball coaches. The primary goal of this organization is to create a positive environment for volleyball players of color and provide them the chance to participate and enjoy the game at a high level. The organization is not only functioning to support volleyball players of color in the United States, but the goal is to support black volleyball players globally, which is why their motto is: Champions.Culture.Connections.

The Black Volleyball Circuit was founded by volleyball club owner and coach, Quanesha Speed and co-founder Montonya Jackson, who is also a head volleyball coach. Both women are also proud members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Under their leadership, the Black Volleyball Circuit will successfully carry out national and international events, not only for young volleyball players, but adult players as well.

The HBCU Showcase is the first event organized by the Black Volleyball Circuit. The event will take place on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 9am to 3pm at the TBP Athletic Complex in Dallas, TX. This event will include HBCU coaches, admissions and financial aid representatives, Sorority representation, and minority owned businesses as vendors. African American volleyball lovers should not hesitate to join the Black Volleyball Circuit; to experience the game without limitations.
