FLX Bike Launches The Weapon X – The Highly Anticipated 750W Full Suspension Carbon Framed Electric Mountain Bike
San Diego, CA – October 20, 2022 – FLX BIKE (flx.bike) successfully launched its long awaited full suspension carbon framed electric mountain bike – the Weapon X on October 17th 2022 at 7AM PST on crowdfunding website Indiegogo earning over $200k in just 24 hours.
With 29 inch wheels and 150mm rear/160mm front travel, the enduro-oriented Weapon is geared to those looking for an electric mountain bike that goes above and beyond what the current eMTB market offers in terms of both power and range.
While many electric mountain bikes in the US market utilize a smaller 250 or 350 Watt mid drive motor and under 700Wh batteries, the Weapon X will feature a larger 750 Watt Bafang motor capable of 1000W peak power (120 Nm of torque) for improved hill climbing ability and an 840Wh battery for riding range of up-to 70 miles on a charge.
Beyond this, FLX has partnered with Valencia, CA based DVO Suspension on the front and rear eMTB specific suspension for the Weapon X and Weapon models. DVO is a ‘rider propelled’ brand bringing over 80 years of collective suspension building and tunable suspension products to the market.
As you would expect for a bike in this class, the remaining non-electronic specifications will be of the highest caliber. Magura MT7 4 piston brakes pair with an SDG dropper post and Maxxis front and rear tires for exceptional control and stopping power. Smooth and reliable shifting is provided by SRAM with their 1×12 12-speed rear derailleur and shift lever. “FLX is excited to raise the bar with the launch of the Weapon X.
